QCon AI New York has opened registration for its December 15 and 16 conference at The Westin Jersey City Newport, a single PATH stop from Lower Manhattan. The two-day event targets senior software engineers, architects, and engineering leaders who already run AI systems in production, rather than teams still deciding whether to adopt AI.
Practitioners Only, No Sponsored Talks
The program is chaired by a Senior Principal Software Engineer and Architect at Red Hat AI, who also chaired QCon AI Boston earlier this year, alongside a Staff Software Engineer and GenAI search tech lead at Google and a Technical Principal Consultant at Thoughtworks who co-hosts The InfoQ Podcast. The selection committee evaluates every proposed session against two questions: whether the speaker actually ran the systems being discussed in production, and whether they'll cover what failed alongside what worked. Sessions are invite-only and chosen by the practitioner committee, and the main schedule excludes sponsored talks or product pitches entirely.
The Second QCon AI Event of 2026
QCon AI New York follows QCon AI Boston earlier in the year as the second of two QCon AI events on the 2026 calendar, applying the same practitioner-led model QCon has run for more than two decades. Beyond the scheduled talks, the event structure is designed to give attendees time to discuss agent boundaries, evaluation methods, security, and cost controls directly with speakers and peers working on similar production challenges.
What Comes Next
Organizers expect to announce the first confirmed sessions in August, publish a preliminary schedule in October, and release the complete program by early November.
